I like how tending my garden plot gives me time to think about the plotting of my novel.
I always include flowers in my garden and as you can see, I like to garden in squares or rectangles instead of nice neat rows. If it looks a little messy, that's okay with me (notice the shovel propped against the fence).
I know I shouldn't have left the cosmos growing in the onions, but they just looked so pretty.
Zinnias and impatiens bring a pop of color to my garden, and my day!
All this work to create this pleasant work space where the next great American novel is being written...
...at least until Fall really sets in and I have to move back to my office, or the couch, or wherever.

Lovely garden! I like to work outside, weather permitting. It makes me sad to know that I'll be working inside for months, waiting for warm spring days. Oh, well. I guess there's something to be said for writing alongside a toasty fireplace with a mug of steaming tea.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Megan! I always feel sad about working inside, too, but the fireplace idea sounds good. :-)
